The Esplanade Range Location.

A sub-range of the Selkirk Mountains, the Esplanade is located at the very eastern edge of the Selkirks, north of Golden, south of the Adamant Range (Fairy Meadows Hut), east of the Rogers Pass and the Canadian Glacier Park.

The Lodge Location.

The three lodges have been built in the southern half of the Esplanade at treeline. Each lodge is in a unique alpine basin and is linked by the backbone of the Esplanade Range.

Sunrise Lodge @ 7000' (2130m)
Built at the headwaters of Wisted Creek.

Meadow Lodge @ 7200' (2200m)
Built at the headwaters of Carrol Creek.

Vista Lodge @ 7050' (2150m)
Built at the headwaters of Schlicting Creek.

 

There are no significant STRUCTURAL differences between the lodges, all are at treeline:

2 storey frame construction
Well insulated
Cozy, comfortable and rustic
Double occupancy with full bedding provided
Wood heated lodge & sauna
Fully loaded kitchens
Large drying room for gear
Outhouses
Chemical toilet in lodge (night use only)
Propane fueled kitchen & lights
Electricity is not available

 

How long is the heli-flight?

Sunrise    = 5 minutes (from our staging area)
Meadow  = 7 minutes (from our staging area)
Vista        = 10 minutes (from our staging area)

Where is the staging area? staging is 50 minutes drive from Golden heading west on the TransCanada Hwy.
